I had a swelling in my gum, between two teeth, and i think it popped.I have tooth problems, too. Is it related?

It's not just the swelling in my gum,I have a swelling in my jaw near the same area. The swelling in my jaw is caused by my tooth, though, but

is the swelling in my gum related, too?

Would a heating pad bring the swelling down and is there also another way to do it?

Maybe you have a piece of food stuck under your gums thats causing the swelling, try and swish with warm salt water. I would advice you to see your dentist. You might have a abscess and need antibiotics. Make sure you floss your teeth every night and morning as your gums need to be healthy. If they bleed when you brush, then your gums are being neglected. Eventually it will go away. Remember this saying,"floss only the teeth you want to keep". As for the heating pad, go for it . It might temporarily help. Good luck!
Reply:I had that same problem, theypulled my tooth out and blood went every where...fortuneitly it was a baby tooth and i didn't really need it anyway
Reply:it sounds like you have an abcess in your jaw/gum..you must get it treated, drained and some antibiotics..it can make you really ill if you leave it..and its really easy to treat...good luck.
Reply:it sounds like gingivitis. you need to floss and brush your gums daily. it might be related. my dad had something like that. if it doesn't stop after three weeks, go to a dentist.
