what treament do you get when you have a deep overbite? do u have to get braces or a retainer?
also with root canals, do they usually give you something to numb your jaw before they give you the novacaine shot? also what types of pain medication do they give you afterwards?
i know i should have asked my dentist but now im asing Yahoo! so dont tell me to ask my dentist.

yes, there is a topical numbing agent that is a gel that they put on your gums before the shot. the meds depend on who your dr is and your age. usually it's motrin and some antibiotics.
