Teeth problems? Please serious answers!?

I have braces and one day I was so tired that I forgot to brush my teeth. The next day, my back right molar hurts only when I putted pressure on it. Today it still hurts. Could I possibly have a cavity(when you have a cavity, do your teeth continuously hurt without you touching it and can you get a cavity in one day?) or is it the braces that's pulling my teeth(I have had braces for this month for almost one week already and tell my why you think that is the answer? P.S. I have been brushing regularly and very well before the day I forgot to brush. Make sure it is based on actual facts!!!

Teeth problems? Please serious answers!?
I don't think one day of not brushing was the source of your pain! Pain from cavities differ depending on the location and extent of decay; pressure alone isn't a factor. Usually, hot/cold, chewing are also indicators. However, without a dental exam and xrays, can't be too sure.

If it is decay, it won't be from not brushing once.
Reply:no u cant get a cavity on 1 day it takes months of bad hygeine
Reply:I have had braces for 2 years and like 4 months and that always happens to me its not cuz u dont brush its cuz braces hurt like a ***** sometimes and u just gotta deal wit it... it will go away after awhile tho.
Reply:Yes infact thats why you sould always brush your teeth i ahve the same problem i brush every day know because it hurts real bad so brush in hte morning , before bed , in the shower i geusse then the more you brush the more your tooth feels better
Reply:It doesnt sound like a cavity.

But yes, your teethe could start

to hurt over night, and many factors

can cause constant pain.

Did you recently get your braces

tightened? Or maybe your teeth are

just moving into place rapidly.

Take some tylrnol, and if it doesnt get

better, see your dentist.
Reply:Not a cavity, just teeth get a little sensitive when they're not brushed, just like your gums will bleed when you floss if you rarely floss. If you keep brushing pain should go away (I've never had braces, but I get pains when I don't brush too sometimes
Reply:The first time i had my braces it hurts alot too, but after 2days to 3 days it hurts no more. Drink some mefinamic acid to releive the tooth pain.

By the way everytime the dentist adjust your braces you will fell the pull or pressure on your teeth the braces are re-aligning the teeth so expect some pain too.
Reply:It's not a cavity.

I used to have braces, do you have full mouth?

Even if not, they hurt like hell the first few days, so it just takes getting used to.
Reply:I don't believe that you have a cavity...but have you been brushing too hard, or have you eaten anything hard? The pain from braces tend to last longer than you expect. It'll go away in a week.

Also, braces tend to make your teeth hurt at random times, and that very normal. Don't put any pressure on your teeth, the pain will stop.
