Strep Throat, or Wisdom teeth problems?

Ok, so I have been sick these past couple of days thinking I had strep throat running a 102.9 fever. My throat is still killing me, a headache here and there but the fever has gone down to around 100.7. I am feelin alot better now the fever is down, but I am also getting my top left wisdom tooth in, it has not caused me any problems at all, however I have noticed that my teeth are sore. Does this have anything to do with my Wisdom Teeth or is it strep like the Dr. said??

Sounds like strep. Wisdom teeth don't cause fevers. Just soreness. Since the doctor said strep, I assume you are taking antibiotics. Please make sure to take the full dose you were given. Strep can be very dangerous to your heart if the bacteria is not fully eradicated -- rheumatic fever! Take care and I hope you feel all better soon.

Reply:Teeth do not cause high fevers like yours. I imagine strep throat is the culprit...
Reply:go to another doc and see what he says, i cant tell you because i dont see you and dont knwo you. get a few opinions from people in person and doctors.
Reply:I think you are just sick. all my wisdom teeth are coming in (ouch) but all it does to me is make my jaw hurt like someone B*tch slapped me across the face :-/ Good luck and i would get them removed if you can...I cant afford to have them removed right now (i don't have dental) But they are almost all the way in, straight and there is room for them.. BUT I'm still having problems keeping them brushed,,and they KILL SOMETIMES!

Reply:If the doc said that you have strep, then you have strep. Keep in mind that the nerves / nerve endings that are in your throat making it hurt also reach around your teeth which would cause them to hurt. But it could just be both. Strep throat and your wisdom teeth coming in. I hope that you feel better soon!
Reply:You would know if it is wisdom. you would be biting the inside of your cheek. It is probably strep, get some penicilin.
Reply:If the doctor said it was strep then that is what is your problem. Wisdom teeth can cause a lot of pain though and might be part of what you are feeling. If after you use all your medication for the strep and are still having pain then I'd see about going to the dentist.
Reply:I'm pretty sure it is the strep. Wisdome teeth shouldn't cause a fever no more than any of your other teeth coming in did.
