Cavity and grinding teeth problem?

Ok, so I had a molar pulled today and the tooth in front of it has a filling, but a cavity/hole near the filling that will break soon (it has caused me some pain recently but I couldn't get it filled today and the molar HAD to be pulled). I can't go back until my "whole" heals, in 2-3 weeks the dentist said. Even now when I bite down, the tooth feels like it is going to break. So my problem is the fact that I grind my teeth A LOT. I don't do the list of things that you shouldn't do (stress, caffine, alcohol), so what can I do? It's going to break tonight...
