Although it may APPEAR that you teeth are healthy, you teeth and your surrounding gum tissue may actually not be. In many cases, people with gum disease do not have pain, which is often associated with cavities.

It may be periodontitis, otherwise known as gum disease. Gum disease is a serious problem that not only can affect your gingiva and the entire oral cavity, but the rest of your body such as the cardiovascular system.

You should visit your dental hygienist and have a full periodontal reading and assessment completed if you are serious in saving your remaining teeth. Without Periodontal treatment, it is likely that you will eventually lose the remaining teeth.

Here is a website that may help you understand more:

Good luck!
Reply:Sorry, that probably means that you DON'T have good teeth or that you have a gum disease.
Reply:My friend.. your doctor is crap!..change him.. well.. it's your right to know what's happenning to your body!

your condition on losing 6 good teeth is a preodontal disease...

Well, Im sorry to tell it' like diabetes mellitus, you need maintenance... just clean your teeth and see the doctor as often as possible... or i suggest get a false teeth.

in medicine there is no cure for such... it is hereditary, you might have gotten that from your parents or forefathers...and your children might inherit such.

As you can see.. what's happenning there is your bone loses it's grip on your teeth, at an unknown cause except for genes... the only thing that supports your teeth is your gums.. So which means you have weak support for your teeth...

Reply:if they would move/get loose, sounds like gum disease. What happens with this is you loose bone. The bone is what keeps the teeth in place. Even though through the outside your gums look normal, in the inside of the gum is where the gum is where the problem lyes. Unfortunalty, your Dr may be right. If you have lost these many teeth already, it is most likely that your remaining teeth are close to follow. The only treatment you could do is gum treatment, (and even this would not guarantee your teeth). The least expensive would be a deep cleaning with "pocket medicaition" . it depends on you and if you think it worth it to TRY to save some teeth by by spending a little money.
