Yes, they can cause heart disease... Practice good dental hygiene! : )
Reply:I had something wrong with a cavity and I got a fever, so I guess it's possible. It's all connected
Reply:My brother had an infection in his teeth. He waited about 2 weeks till he told our parents. The dentist said it was a good thing that we got him there because it couldve caused him death. What I am thinking is that yea it could cause other problems to the body.
Reply:Yes, infections in the mouth can affect other parts of the body. The infections can easily spread to the brain and the heart. It depends on how long the infections go untreated and sometimes pre-existing conditions can affect it as well.
Reply:Yes I had an abscess above one of my teeth but I didnt know it was there as it wasnt bulging out however I spent months feeling really sick and not knowing why - I had a really bad pregnancy - I was throwing up daily 10 - 50 times per day every day the whole way through so I had to have my teeth out after I had my daughter - suddenly the sick feeling went away - the abscess that was not found until they removed my teeth was draining its poison into my system the whole time - I even wonder if it caused the really bad pregnancy with the throwing up all the time just because I didnt know it was there
Reply:Yep
Reply:yes gum and bad teeth can get the infection into the vains of your gum and mouth and attack your hart, vains, and brain as well as ears. why you ask???,
Reply:They sure can! Bacteria from an unhealthy mouth may enter the bloodstream . heart disease, pregnancy and labor, can make your diabetes harder to control, osteoporosis, certain cancers.

It is really important to take care of your mouth and teeth.
Reply:Definitely in the digestive system, possibly the heart. Not sure about the rest.
Reply:Yes...

Teeth that are not looked after properly can cause hearth disease and infections of various organs ... Rotten teeth and especially decaying teeth containing amalgan fillings are extremely dangerous !

Bleeding gums etc also increase the risk of getting/passing on STDs through kissing/oral sex etc

Serious infections can cause fever and if not treated this can lead to various other serious health issues...
Reply:Oral infections that produce bacteremia can lead to pericarditis (inflammation around the heart). Some people needs to take antbiotics before visiting the dentist. However, I don't think gum disease automatically lead to heart disease.

Actually, experts are still conducting studies on whether gum diseases lead to heart diseases. Though a study in Mahattan showed males with better oral hygiene had healthier hearts, further studies are needed to done to find the relationship.
Reply:yes it can.....it can affect your body in many different ways....from heart failure, heart disease, kidney liver and pancreatic hemmorrage and failure are all symptoms if left untreated
Reply:With the so many problems on health nowadays, everyone is looking for the symptom, cure, and treatment for gum disease, gingivitis, bleeding gums and bad breath because no one wants to loose their teeth and many health problem have now been directly linked to gum disease including heart attacks and strokes.

Reply:Advanced gum disease is a common problem this kind of disease can cause gingivitis or periodontitis. It is ordinary for the reason that the signs of gum disease can be easily missed, and most people is affected don't even know they have this kind of disease. Though, most of these cases of advanced gum disease are able to be prohibited with correct oral hygiene. Gingivitis is an inflammatory course of the gums in which the connection between the tooth and gum is distorted but remains attached to the tooth. Periodontitis occurs when the ligament and bony attachment of the tooth have been lost.
