is this safe to do this time? because i suffered alot previous pregnancy problems. like 3 miscarriages,pre-eclampcia. so im very scared this time. how about the meditions for wisdom tooth problems? is this safe to eat while pregnant? please give me your advice
Im 13 weeks pregnant now.but i have wisdom tooth problems on my bothsides.can i do operation at this time?
Check with your OB-GYN. I had this problem, too, on my third pregnancy. I was in agony because the problems didn't come up till my last month and then the dentist wouldn't pull them being so close to my due date.
BTW, I had pre-eclampsia, too during my first pregnancy (BAD!)
Anyhow, if your teeth are infected or impacted, that could cause more risk than having them pulled. Just make sure you check first with your doc before going to the dentist: the OB should make the call.
Good Luck!
Reply:Why risk it.
I would recommend against it, but try asking your doctor.
Reply:i would check with your doctor first to be on the safe side.
Reply:no you can't... cuz of the novicane. it could be harmful to the unborn baby. just make sure to stay away from the wisdom teeth that are bothering you.
i could be wrong on the novicane harming the baby. so you could ask if you could get them pulled... but my friend couldn't get hers pulled cuz of the novicane.
Reply:Well, I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled (two during one pregnancy, two during another) and I had no problems at all. My OB even okayed it, and I just made sure my dentist knew I was pregnant. The laughing gas (nitrous oxide) won't hurt the baby.
They prescribed me hydrocodone (Lortabs) for the pain afterward, which is relatively safe.
Reply:a dentist shouldnt do any work on u till the 2nd trimester, i know this cos i had to wait till then to get a tooth pull out. if they r going to knock u out to take the teeth out check with ur Dr u r seeing thru out ur pregnancy to make sure it is safe. for the pain i was only able to take panadol which is safe to take while pregnant. good luck with it.
Reply:Actually the person who said that you can't have novicane while pregnant is inncorrect. Anyways check with your OB.
Reply:Ask your dentist, I’m not really sure. The following sites contain a LOT of really helpful information, you should check them out!
