Hey Guys That Have Dentist Problems?

I Am no expert but i am writing this to warn any 1 with any tooth problems to see a dentist it is not worth the pain and id rather get my tooth seen to and goo 1 more day a pain then it goes away, rather than having tootache the whole week and it spoils your mood, i am the biggest scardy cat in the world when it comes to teeth.

if your really scared u should get sedation which i am getting done very soon, its worth it in the end dont feel a thing maybe a little bit sickness after the tooth being pulled out but thats normall and goes away

the hole point of me writing this is to tell the young people that if you have a problem please go to the dentist i rejected going for months and it catches up on you big time, if you have a important date coming up see to your mouth before it, so it does not spoil ure day out which is going to happen to me at Fantazia tommorow night

try warm salt water which works sometimes

or brush your teeth gently

or try some nurofen they work wonders for temp

Hey Guys That Have Dentist Problems?
Good advice, although those with a true phobia will need more convincing I feel.
Reply:you said ,so to speak, a mouthfull lol go to the dentist things have changed so much its no where near as bad as it was 20 years ago
Reply:I wasn't aware I had "dragon breath" for years until a dentist told me I must have a peridontal treatment. He put me to sleep and spent the next 3 hours cleaning behind my gums, between my teeth, and whatever. In the followup visit, he told me how overdue I was for this cleaning. One tooth HAD to be removed and they found the infection was within 1/8 inch of breaking into my left eye socket. Had that of happened, I wouldn't be here today to describe the need for visiting dentists for regular checkups and cleaning.
Reply:Great to see someone trying to encourage people after their own experience.

Too often ppl leave things till something forces them to go see a dentist eg large facial swelling or sever pain.

Everyone should go for a check up to make sure they are registered and talk about how to fix their teeth, the best treatment for toothache and dental problems is PREVENTION!! do things to stop them happening!!!

I know there are various reasons people dont go to the dentist mainly fear or unable/un-willing to pay for treatment.

All NHS dentists have guidlines and charges will be the same, and ALL NHS EXAMINATIONS ARE FREE!! ( so no excuses ppl for not getting registered!!)

Ensuring you are registered also gives you certain benefits like access to Emergency Treatment - if you are not registered then no one has to see you, registered patients have to be seen in emergency situations within 24 hours. ( a crown or "cap" out is not an Emergency.

Again as said in previous posts if you have a big day or event you want teeth sorted for go early to the dentist, depending on treatment needed you may need to attend lots of appointments, and some things take longer, like false teeth can take approx 5 visits usually 1 week appart so thats going to take at least a month, and the dentist may be busy or fully booked 3 or more weeks in advance!!

Good Luck to everyone who overcomes their fear and makes that appointment to go to the dentist, remember if you need to take someone for support then do that!!
