So I have two problems: 1) I drink way too much soda and 2) My teeth are VERY close together?

I try to floss a decent amount - and have also tried switching to drinking to iced tea...

But I have had tons of minor cavities between my teeth...

I'm not willing to give up on drinks in the afternoon and such. So what are some tips on how to stop getting cavities without too much of a lifestyle change.

DRINK HEALTHY SPARKLING FLAVORED WATER IT SOSTS like $3.00 at walmart and see an orthidonist dont whiten ur teeth my ant did it didnt where off for months well u can do that if ur married.
Reply:first see a dentist. they can usually refer you to an orthodontist and spacers, retainers, braces really help. they will open the teeth up a bit and allow you to clean and take care of them better. also try diet iced tea? something with less sugar? idk just suggestions. hope i helped! good luck!
Reply:Let your teeth fall out then get dentures.
Reply:well the soda may be the cause........

not much you can do except quit drinking so much
Reply:A good alternative to soda is to mix 3 parts seltzer with 1 part fruit juice (cranberry or grape works best). You get the sweet flavor of soda, along with the fizz, but without the sugar and other junk in soda.
Reply:Water is a great alternative, if you have 2-4 bottles you will find yourself less thirsty and u will begin to cut down on your soda intake, i used to be a soda fiend as well, also buy more drinks that taste better but are still healthy so that when you absolutely cant have water u can drink something tasty thats much better than soda such as juicy juice, as far as your teeth go, brush your teeth once more that normal and try to do it after each meal, this should reduce your cavities, but wont get rid of existing ones, braces are the only sure method of straightening teeth, and its better to have them at a younger age rather than bieng a 50 year old with braces, lol

good luck
Reply:use a rinse as well as flossing .. you need to get into places where your not getting with just flossing ... I stopped drinking soda %26amp; sugary drinks and went with water or flavored water and to rinisng alot ... you need to stay away from High Fructose Corn Syrup ... that's your teeths worst enemy
Reply:get a 'leave-in' flouride toothpaste from your dentist - it helps to build protection - will not get rid of cavities you already have and I would definitely suggest cutting out the sugar altogether if you have that many issues - try sugar free

Soda is bad in more than one way for your body - ask an old person with bone problems how much soda they consumed over their life.....
Reply:FLOSS WITH GLIDE FLOSS IT GETS INTO VERY TIGHT SPACES. YOU NEED TO GET CAVITIES THAT ARE THERE FIXED, OTHERWISE THEY WILL JUST GET BIGGER.

DRINKING SUGARY DRINKS WILL NOT LIKELY CAUSE DECAY BETWEEN TEETH, BUT LACK OF FLOSSING WILL. THE CAVITIES FROM ACIDIC/SUGARY DRINKS WOULD CAUSE DECAY NEAR THE GUMS OF THE TEETH ON THE OUTSIDE.

I SEE THAT IN SOME OF MY PATIENTS WHO DRINK COLA.
