Tooth problems?

December 07 My top front tooth was pulled due to a cap ruined and the post got fractured. This stuff that he says looks like parmesian cheese got put in my gum to help form and shape for when my real tooth gets put in. The same tooth pulled is my temporary its glued in and got stitched in too and a metal pin is in the back of my teeth. I waited to smoke after stitches were out, and i saw and felt a little gap and i played with it an pressed my tongue in the gap and it made a click. and my tooth is seperated from my gum more now, i brush my teeth alot and the gum area where the stitches were, and the dot where he put the stitches at was just a little red dot and now is more of a small cut, also the top front of my tooth shows grey, i know thats not good. has anyone seen this after work like this as well? grey on top of the tooth? i over brush most likely and i know smoking cigs and Weed doesnt help, it keeps me sane though. anyone know about what this grey is? and is it serious?

Tooth problems?
been there done that. I lost eight teeth up to this point in my life (don't ask at least not publicly), I'm seriously thinking of saying f-it and have the rest just yanked.

As for you - first off, you screwed up by smoking - it cuts circulation and slows healing. The grey tooth is dying (if not dead), that's probably gonna end up being pulled or capped too.

Call the dentist ASAP - you need to get back in there if you want to salvage what you have left.
Reply:no
Reply:most teeth will be grey from being damaged, maybe its a dead tooth, nothing to worry about.
Reply:See a dentist!
Reply:Yeah I know what you mean. I have to get my two front teeth re-enameled from over brushing. They are grey/brownish from smoking, drinking coke (probably) (cola drink that is.) It's going to cost me $600 per tooth to fix! My friend who dosn't smoke got the same problem from over brushing. Get a soft toothbrush and go easy. Not sure about the other grey stuff. Get a better dentist or keep going back till it's fixed. If it's sore it most likely is infected and antibiotics are needed. OUCH! If I was Prime Minister, I would make dentistry free!
Reply:hmm

you are not making any sense at all..

if yr front tooth has a fracture, unlikely that they can save the tooth. and once its pulled out,u cant put back a real tooth. and what metal pin? the post... ?

or if u got a crown, the gray area may be a metal margin showing thru.if its natural tooth, its prob dead..
