A few years ago I had my dentist fit me with mouth trays and got the prescription gel to go in them. It was the senstive teeth stuff.....I did it for a few nights and couldnt take it anymore. My mouth kept watering and I didnt want to swallow it so I was spitting constantly into a kleenex. Is there any way or tips to make this bearable? I also tried the strips and same thing. The trays were overnighters.....
Do you ever have problems when whitening your teeth?
I have had my teeth professionally whitened and later in the day I felt the worst pain ever (like worse than some minor surgeries I've had...) and I've tried the strips but had to quit early for the same reason. BUT, I've also tried Crest Night Effects which is you paint something onto your teeth and leave it for 30 minutes then brush it off. This was the one thing I've tried that did not hurt at all. Maybe its because its not as strong as doing it professionally and its doesn't touch the bottom parts of our teeth like a strip would since those wrap around the bottom. Anyway, it may not be as effective as doing it pro. but I recommend Crest Night Effects. It did make a difference and I was pain free :)
Reply:My teeth hurt too, but it stopped. Dont use the whitening stuff every night. Use it twice a week. let your teeth get used to it.
Reply:I use the strips and have no problem with them. I leave them on for about 30 minutes and then take them off. I had some sensitivity for a few days but no more. I try to use a variety of products; whitening mouth wash, whitening toothpaste, whitening strips, instead of just one method. I think it's less harsh than one very strong method but still seems to give great results.
Reply:you said nights.... were you sleeping in the trays??... this is a big NO-NO
try bleaching every other day and shorten the time they are in your mouth..
do not overfill the trays... just place a small dot in the front of the tray where teeth are...
bleaching for too long will make teeth sensitive, which will go away when you adjust bleaching times
Reply:no, i have not encountered any problems with my at-home teeth whitening system since it is safe to use and very effective, likewise it contains superior ingredients that can really restore white teeth like what i had decades ago.
if you had your teeth whitened or if you want to maintain white teeth, try to avoid foods and drinks that can cause teeth to become stain like coffee, colas, tea, red wine, chocolates and the likes.
brush and floss teeth every after meal to get rid of stains caused by the foods and drinks that you take in. for more tips on how to restore pearly white teeth visit http://www.maximumteethwhitening.com
